Forensic Investigation Finds No Wrongdoing

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Following allegations of corruption relating to the potential sale of a County-owned property (Coleman Parking Lot) and an inappropriate relationship with Commissioners and Lange Realty, Sedgwick County engaged FORVIS LLP to provide a forensic investigation on Sept. 23, 2022.

FORVIS completed an exhaustive review and analysis through information provided in the form of documents, conversations and interviews with relevant parties. On Nov. 7, FORVIS provided their conclusions to Sedgwick County. The conclusions were no findings of wrongdoing.

FORVIS LLP is on contract with Sedgwick County for both financial and forensic audit services. This audit is estimated to cost Sedgwick County $25,000. The full report will be provided upon request at communications@sedgwick.gov.
