Safely Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste at Sedgwick County Events June 18 and June 25

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host remote collection sites for all residents at the following dates and locations. Both events will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Saturday, June 18 - Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd., Wichita, KS - Parking Lot A
• Saturday, June 25 - Haysville Municipal Building Parking Lot, 200 W Grand, Haysville, KS

These events are open and free to all Sedgwick County residents. Residents may bring items such as paint, aerosols, batteries, used motor fluids, lawn and garden chemicals, household cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs, and more to the collection free of charge for recycling or proper disposal. The collection is intended for individual households; no business waste, please. Tires, electronics, ammunition, explosives, empty containers and controlled substances will not be accepted.
