Safely Dispose of Household Hazardous Waste at Sedgwick County Events Oct. 8 and Oct. 15
(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host remote collection sites for all residents at the following dates and locations. Both events will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 8 – Spirit AeroSystems, K-15 and MacArthur St., Wichita, KS - Parking Lot P
- Saturday, Oct. 15 – Park City Library, 2107 E. 61st Street N., Park City, KS
These events are open and free to all Sedgwick County residents. Residents may bring items such as paint, aerosols, batteries, used motor fluids, lawn and garden chemicals, household cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs, and more to the collection free of charge for recycling or proper disposal. The collection is intended for individual households; no business waste, please. Tires, electronics, ammunition, explosives, empty containers and controlled substances will not be accepted.
