Archived: Sedgwick County and partners respond to grass fire near Lake Afton

This morning, 24 units from Sedgwick County Fire District 1, Wichita Fire Department, Cheney Fire Department, and Clearwater Fire Department, responded to a grass fire near Lake Afton. This fire is now under control. 

At this time, no donations or volunteers are needed to assist. Residents and businesses nearby need to use caution and be aware of this situation. If any fires develop downwind, residents should be advised to move to safety.
