Sedgwick County Hosts Free E-Waste Recycling Events

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host free electronic waste recycling events April 18-20 and April 25-27, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Sedgwick County West Yard, 4701 S. West St.

Sedgwick County residents can safely dispose of computers, laptops, printers, televisions, cell phones, batteries, tablets, network devices (routers, modems, etc.), VCRs, DVD players, video games, scanners, fax machines and more. For a complete list, click this link.

Sedgwick County contracts with a zero-waste vendor, so all electronics collected are reused or recycled. Nothing is thrown in a landfill or shipped overseas. Hard drives are erased or destroyed to prevent access to stored data. This collection is intended for individual households and businesses, excluding those selling or recycling electronics.
