Sedgwick County Hosts Governor, Lt. Governor for Ceremonial Bill Signing

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – A ceremonial bill signing for Senate Bill 130 will take place at 2 p.m. today in the Commission Meeting Room on the third floor of the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main.

Governor Laura Kelly, Lt. Governor Lynn Rogers, and Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman will make brief remarks before the bill is signed.

Senate Bill 130 is the result of a key initiative on Sedgwick County’s legislative platform; it allows a voter to vote at any polling place within the County on Election Day if the machines are technologically capable. The Bill was approved by Governor Kelly on April 15 and will take effect once regulations are in place.
