Get Active In Nature 60+ Exercise Park

The Get Active In Nature 60+ (GAIN) Exercise Park is an outdoor fitness area designed for adults ages 60 and older centrally located in Sedgwick County Park. It features 11 resistance-based machines, including 5 that are wheelchair accessible, and can fit up to 28 users simultaneously. The area is welcoming to individuals of all ages, genders and abilities, as well as their families or caregivers. The project was approved in July 2025 and completed in September 2025.

Outdoor fitness equipment

Sedgwick County Park’s new fresh-air gym includes equipment from Greenfields Outdoor Fitness’ Low-Impact series, making exercise more inviting for older adults. It includes several units from Greenfields’ Wheelchair Accessible line, which are designed to provide comprehensive workouts specific to the muscles commonly used by manual wheelchair users.
