Bulky Waste Coupon Program Closed

Sedgwick County Environmental Resources has closed its bulky waste coupon program for 2014.

The coupons cover the cost to dump up to 1,000 pounds of bulky waste. Sedgwick County residents who have received coupons, but have not used them must do so by Nov. 5.

Bulky waste includes furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics and other items that haulers aren’t able to pick up, but NOT tires, items with Freon or hazardous materials.

Residents are first encouraged to reuse or recycle bulky waste if possible. A guide to recycling in Sedgwick County is also available at www.sedgwickcounty.org.

The following locations will accept the coupons:

• Waste Connections Transfer Station, 4300 W. 37th St. N., 941-4320
• Waste Disposal LLC Transfer Station, 5550 W. 55th St. S., 522-3633
