EMS to Reunite Cardiac Arrest Survivors with First Responders

Sedgwick County EMS will host an event celebrating survivors of sudden cardiac arrest today, June 25.  This event will bring together 11 former patients who suffered sudden cardiac arrest and were successfully resuscitated.  Survivors and their families will be reunited with the EMS paramedics, firefighters, dispatchers, and citizens who had a role in their survival. A keynote presentation by Ms. Cate Baker, whose daughter is a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest, will highlight the importance of CPR and Citizen CPR.  There will be a reception following the event.
