Archived: Information Submissions for CARES Funding Due Today

(Sedgwick County, Kan.) – The Notice of Funding Opportunity and Solicitation of Information (NOFO) for Sedgwick County CARES funding is due today, Friday, June 19. Interested parties and potential respondents can obtain more information online at

The NOFO is a needs assessment survey that will help County leaders understand how to best utilize funding received from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) to address pressing financial needs within the community.

As a direct recipient of funding from the Federal Government, Sedgwick County is able to design flexible and localized programs to provide area organizations and entities assistance with addressing the impacts of and responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Before funding areas and awards can be finalized, the County requests input from likely recipients to better understand their current and future needs in responding to COVID-19.

The NOFO is designed as a survey with the intent to collect information about existing costs incurred related to COVID-19 through June 1, 2020 and anticipated future costs through December 30, 2020. An online form is available for stakeholders to provide information. The information will then be used to develop a strategic plan to allocate the CARES funding that the County received.

Printable forms are also available for stakeholders online. For more information, people can email or dial (316) 660-7148.
