WICHITA MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FIRST-DEGREE FELONY MURDER AND ATTEMPTED FIRST DEGREE MURDER

WICHITA, Kan. — Edward A. Millan-Volcan, 26, of Wichita, pleaded guilty today to first degree felony murder and attempted first degree murder in connection with the July 17, 2025, murder of Sinay, Y. Leon-Montoya and attempted murder of Germany Torres Figueroa.
The plea was entered in Sedgwick County District Court before Judge Kevin Smith.
Millan-Volcan is scheduled to be sentenced on July 16, 2026. He faces a minimum of 38.75 years in the Kansas Department of Corrections.
The case was investigated by the Wichita Police Department The prosecution was handled by Marc Bennett, District Attorney, and Sophia Brunetti, Assistant District Attorney.
