Wichita man pleads guilty to manslaughter in two separate cases

WICHITA, KS — Kevin Buggs, 56, of Wichita, today pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter in connection with the June 2026 death of Stevie Young, and one count of involuntary manslaughter in connection with the September 2024 death of Ronnie Wallace.

The plea was entered before Sedgwick County District Judge Jeffrey Goering. Sentencing is scheduled for October 29, 2026.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Justin Edwards and Assistant District Attorney Shandee Porter.
