Wichita Man Pleads Guilty to Murder of Estranged Wife

WICHITA, Kan. — Joshua Orlando, 29, of Wichita, pleaded guilty today to Felony First Degree Murder and Aggravated Kidnapping in connection with the April 17, 2026, murder of Ivy Unruh.
The plea was entered in Sedgwick County District Court before Judge Jeffrey Goering.
Orlando is scheduled to be sentenced on August 28, 2026. He faces a minimum of 38.75 years in the Kansas Department of Corrections before he becomes eligible for parole.
The case was investigated by the Wichita Police Department The prosecution was handled by Marc Bennett, District Attorney and Moriah Plowden, Assistant District Attorney.
