Wichita man sentenced in fatal hit-and-run crash near Sedgwick County Zoo

Andrew Fibert was sentenced today to 19 months in prison for leaving the scene of a fatal crash and an additional six months in jail for driving under the influence, the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Sedgwick County District Court Judge Sean Hatfield imposed the sentence on Andrew Fibert who pleaded no contest on July 16 to leaving the scene of a crash resulting in death and driving under the influence.
Both convictions stem from a crash on March 15, 2026 in the 5800 block of West Windmill Road near the Sedgwick County Zoo. Adam Condit died at the scene.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Aaron Breitenbach.
