2019 Michael Reele Award
The 18th Annual Michael S. Reele Award ceremony will take place January 15th, 2020, at 3:30 p.m. in the 1st Floor Jury Room of the Sedgwick County Courthouse, 525 N. Main, Wichita, Kansas.
The Michael S. Reele Award is given in recognition to the Sheriff’s Office employee who has consistently and most notably displayed the core values of Integrity, Duty, Ethics, Attitude, Leadership and Service while fulfilling the mission of the Sheriff's Office during the preceding year.
During this event, award recipients from 2019 will be announced, the 2019 Citizen Volunteer of the Year, 2019 Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy of the Year and the 2019 Sheriff’s Cadet of the Year will also be announced. The reception will also recognize and honor those who received awards in 2019.
Duty Michael Reele lost his battle with Leukemia on May 14th, 2002. His ever positive attitude and dedication to service to the community prompted this annual honor. Members of Mike's family will travel from New York to present the award to the 2019 recipient.
