Detention Deputy charged 09.13.21

On September 13, 2021, a Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Detention Deputy was charged in Wichita Municipal Court for misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct.

The charge stems from an off-duty incident on August 26, 2021.

The Detention Deputy, Aareon White, has been employed by the Sheriff’s Office for almost six months.

In addition to the criminal case, the Professional Standards Unit of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is also conducting an investigation.

Deputy White has been placed on restricted duty pending the outcome of the criminal and internal investigation.
