Detention Facility Automated Information Service

On December 4, 2017 the public information line to the Sedgwick County Adult Local Detention Facility, 660-5245 (660-JAIL), will be managed by an Automated Information Service (AIS). This service is being provided by Securus, the current inmate telephone and video visitation vendor, at no cost to the Sheriff’s Office or the taxpayers of Sedgwick County. The number will not change, but when the public calls they will automatically route into a call flow. The call flow will allow the public to access the following information:

• Inmate Information o Charges
  • Release dates o Visitation schedule
  • Phone funding
  • Jail voicemail
• General Information
  • Location/Directions
  • Visitation Policies
  • Money Policies
  • Mail Policies
  • General Phone Information
  • Phone System
• Phone Funding
• Jail Voicemail

The Jail Voicemail feature is new and will allow citizens to leave messages for inmates for a fee of $1.99 per message. Previously the public had no way of getting messages to inmates without using the US Mail or email.

Inmates in the Detention Facility will also be able to use the AIS and will have access to the following information:

• Charge information
• Release date
• Bond
• Play voicemail
