At approximately 8:11 A.M. on April 9, 2022, a Dodge truck and Suzuki passenger car collided at the intersection of 85^th Street North and Ridge Road. The driver of the Suzuki was eastbound on 85^th Street North and entered the intersection without stopping at the posted stop sign. The southbound Dodge truck struck the Suzuki on the driver’s side.

 

The 48-year-old female driver of the Suzuki, Catherine Granell of Rayville, Missouri, died at the scene.

 

The 61-year-old male driver of the Dodge truck from Sedgwick, Kansas was not injured.

 

Stop signs are posted at the intersection for east and westbound traffic on 85^th Street North.

 

The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
