At approximately 3:04 PM on October 26, 2021, a Chevy Silverado struck a Kansas & Oklahoma Railroad train in the crossing at 5700 N 135th Street West. The Chevy Silverado was traveling north on 135th Street West and the train was traveling east on the center track.
The operator of the Chevy Silverado, Ana Hirai Guerrero-Dominguez (36) of Maize, died at the scene.
Two female juvenile passengers in the Chevy Silverado were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The operators of the train were not injured.
The circumstances of the collision are under investigation.
