Fatality Accident 3.7.21

On March 7, 2021, at 3:13 A.M., deputies were dispatched to an injury accident near 47^th Street South and 127^th Street East.  When deputies arrived they located a 2014 Ford Escape that had left the roadway and overturned.  The driver, Nory Lam, 26 year old female, had minor injuries.  The passenger, Aleah A. Reyes, 5 year old female, was unresponsive.   EMS provided life saving measures to Reyes, however, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 3:39 A.M.   

 During the accident investigation deputies discovered evidence that indicated alcohol may have contributed to the accident.  Additional investigative efforts determined probable cause existed to arrest and book Nory Lam for Involuntary Manslaughter, Driving under the Influence and Transporting an Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage.  

At this time, investigators believe the Ford Escape was driving west on 47^th Street South.
