Homocide 10/06/2018

Kristin Leigh Gile, a 33 year old white female, was identified as the victim of the homicide at 10100 E. 63rd Street South, October 6th, 2018.  

Randy Dean Gile II, a 33 year old white male, was identified as the suspect of the homicide. 

On October 6th, 2018, at approximately 5:16 p.m., the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to assist the Derby Police Department with a shooting.  The original dispatched location was in Derby, near K15 and Patriot.  Derby Police Officers found 3 vehicles at approximately 10100 E. 63rd Street South.  Kristin Gile and Randy Gile were found deceased at the scene.  Kristin Gile’s father Richard Florio, a 55 year old white male, received minor injuries during the shooting.  

During the initial investigation, detectives discovered Randy Gile shot his wife Kristin Gile and then shot himself.  This is still an active homicide investigation at this time.
