Industrial Accident 7.31.2019

Update - 8/1/2019 The victim of the industrial accident that occurred on July 31, 2019, was identified as Zachary C. Ritchey of Wellington, Kansas. 

 

On July 31, 2019, at approximately 2:34 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of West K42 Highway, for an industrial accident.  911 Dispatchers advised deputies a white male was pinned in a large machine at the business.  The 56 year old white male victim had been working on a machine at Younger and Sons Manufacturing Incorporated when he became trapped in in the machine.

The victim was an employee of a company that does maintenance on the machines at Younger and Sons Incorporated. 

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene at approximately 2:40 p.m.
