Michael S. Reele Awards
The 21st Annual Michael S. Reele Award ceremony will take place March 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Courthouse, Jury Room.
The Michael S. Reele Award is given in recognition to the Sheriff’s Office employee who has consistently and most notably displayed the core values of Integrity, Duty, Ethics, Attitude, Leadership, and Service while fulfilling the mission of the Sheriff's Office during the preceding year.
During this event, award recipients from 2022 will be announced, and the 2022 Citizen Volunteer of the Year, and the 2022 Sheriff’s Cadet of the Year will also be announced. The reception will also recognize and honor those who received awards in 2021. Deputy Michael Reele lost his battle with Leukemia on May 14th, 2002. His ever-positive attitude and dedication to service to the community prompted this annual honor.
