New Detention Age Requirements

To expand the hiring pool, individuals eighteen years of age will now be eligible to apply for the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office detention deputy position.

Applicants must pass a written test, physical test, psychological test, drug test, polygraph and background check. 

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to running one of the premier detention facilities in the country.
