On January 31^st, 2019, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in Operation Impact sponsored by the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT). This traffic safety initiative will start at midnight on January 30^th 2019 and run until midnight on January 31^st, 2019. This traffic safety initiative will take place on Rock Road from 119^th Street South to 125^th Street North.

Operation Impact is a joint law enforcement operation. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, Kansas Highway Patrol, Wichita Police Department, Derby Police Department, Kechi Police Department, and Mulvane Police Department will be participating to enforce all traffic laws. This is a “NO TOLERANCE” initiative.

KDOT and the participating law enforcement agencies strive to reduce the number of motor vehicle fatalities, injuries, and vehicle accidents.
