A Wichita man was sentenced in connection with a double homicide in 2022.

WICHITA, KAN. – Thursday afternoon, District Judge Jeffrey Syrios sentenced Brandon Prouse Jr., 23 of Wichita, to 290 months in prison. On Nov. 1st, Prouse pled guilty to aggravated robbery. Judge Syrios sentenced Prouse to 216 months for the robbery count and an additional 74 months for violating probation on two earlier crimes.


In September, a co-defendant, Justin Macormac, was sentenced to life in prison with parole eligibility after 853 months. Macormac pled guilty to first-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, attempted second-degree murder, and two counts of criminal discharge of a firearm. In February of 2022, Macormac shot and killed Bonnie Galloway and Connor O’Callaghan in a shed in the 2200 block of S. Erie in Wichita. Both had been living in the shed.


Prouse was with Macormac, and both victims the evening of the shooting.
