Grilling Safety Tips
As one of the most popular ways to cook food it’s important to know how to protect yourself and others.
- Move your grill 10 feet from combustibles.
 - Remove any grease or fat build-up with a brush.
 - Use the proper lighter fluid with charcoal grills – NEVER use gasoline.
 - When cooking keep children and pets away from the grill and don’t leave it unattended.
 - Have a fire extinguisher close by.
 - Let the coals cool completely, at least 48 hours.
 - Scoop the coals into a metal container, NOT plastic.
 - Douse the coals with water before disposal.
