Infant Caregiver Class
It takes a village to raise a child, and the Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) is here to support yours.
Join the Sedgwick County Health Department’s (SCHD) Healthy Babies program and the Ascension Via Christi Nursing Team for a no-cost, one-time, 2-hour Infant Caregiver Class to help parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends feel confident caring for babies up to 12 months old.
Each class is held monthly on Thursdays (exact date varies) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the SCHD, located at 1900 East 9th St. N., Wichita, KS 67214.
(Some classes may be canceled due to low registration.)
What You Will Learn:
- Safe sleep & swaddling
- Feeding & nutrition
- Water safety
- Medication safety
- Childproofing
- Injury prevention
- CPR* & choking basics
*This is not a CPR certification class, and it does not meet childcare licensing requirements.
