Surveyor General of Nebraska and Kansas instructed to advise on migration starting with boundary line between Kansas and Nebraska as principal base line

Start a principal meridian

Appropriate boundaries will be set from base line with quarter sections, townships and range

Corner Boundaries

Corner boundaries will be stone and marked or a mound conical

Pass Solomon's Fork

Principal meridian line will pass near the Junction of Solomon's Fork

Imperfect Maps

Survey suggestions are based on imperfect maps and liable to modifications

Survey Standard Parallels

Accuracy of measurement of base and meridian lines will be double chained and marked with an enduring monument at the point of intersection

Conical Mound

Intersection point marked with monument and further by a stone or stake at each of the cardinal points

Line Field Book

Crossing of natural objects will be noted in the line field-book and filed to be preserved in the Register of Deeds office
