2025 Fatherhood Summit: Empowered Dads Elevate Families
Join the Sedgwick County Health Department’s Fatherhood Program for the Fatherhood Summit on June 26 and June 27 at the Courtyard Wichita at Old Town.
The summit brings together community members, experts, and service organizations to strengthen the future of fathering support. All are welcome, and there is no cost to register or attend. Click here to learn more!
What is the Fatherhood Program?
The Fatherhood Program is a FREE in person or online program for fathers and partners that follows the Fathering in 15™ curriculum. The Fatherhood Program offers opportunities to engage in conversations and activities to enhance parenting skills and establish healthy behaviors that can improve family relationships.
How it Works
Fathering in 15™ offers topics related to being a father and partner. Each session is intended to be completed in 15 minutes. Participants go through each session at their own pace, with the help of the Fatherhood Coordinator. Topics include:
- Goal setting
- Family history
- Fathering skills
- Child Development
- Managing Money
- And more!
Eligibility
The Fatherhood Program Services are available to all families in Sedgwick County regardless of race, ethnicity, financial status, or legal residency including:
- Fathers or partners of expectant mothers who are enrolled in Healthy Babies Home Visiting services
- Fathers or partners of mothers with children ages 0-12 months who are enrolled in Healthy Babies Home Visiting services
