2020 Adopted Budget
On August 7, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the 2020 Budget of $457,422,200. This budget is evidence of an improving economy with assessed valuation growth in Sedgwick County of 4.51 percent and 5.28 percent in Fire District 1. Property tax rates are 29.384 mills for Sedgwick County and 17.896 mills for Fire District 1. A number of additions in the 2020 budget are funded through additional revenue and through a strategic draw down of fund balances.
