2024 Adopted Budget
On August 23, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the 2024 budget of $546,200,009. The 2024 budget was developed to focus on key priorities such as addressing workforce shortages with compensation adjustments to preserve service levels while maintaining a level property tax rate. The Board of County Commissioners took action to lower the estimated mill levy rate by 0.370 mills to 29.000 mills for Sedgwick County. Estimated assessed valuation growth in Sedgwick County is 8.98 percent and 8.80 percent in Fire District 1. Property tax rates are estimated to be 29.000 mills for Sedgwick County and 17.889 mills for Fire District 1.
