2024 Adopted Budget
On August 23, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the 2024 budget of $546,200,009. The 2024 budget was developed to focus on key priorities such as addressing workforce shortages with compensation adjustments to preserve service levels while reducing the property tax rate for Sedgwick County to provide relief to taxpayers. Assessed valuation growth in Sedgwick County is 9.0 percent and 8.8 percent in Fire District 1. Property tax rates are 28.988 mills for Sedgwick County and 17.883 mills for Fire District 1.
