2027 Recommended Budget
On July 15, the County Manager presented his 2027 Recommended Budget of $657,694,250. The 2027 Recommended Budget was developed to reduce the burden on taxpayers and protect core County services. Estimated assessed valuation growth in Sedgwick County is 7.46 percent and 7.56 percent in Fire District 1. Property tax rates are estimated to be 26.842 mills for Sedgwick County and 16.754 mills for Fire District 1. Commissioners are expected to vote on the 2027 budget on August 26 after holding two public hearings (July 29 at 6 p.m. and August 26 at 9 a.m.) and an online public budget forum.
